A small, family-run business in North Myrtle Beach since 2015 — and your first friends in America.
Every year, our houses fill up with new students. Students from Romania, Thailand, Türkiye, Brazil, Poland, the Philippines, Ukraine, Jamaica, and many more countries — arriving on their J1 cultural exchange visas, ready to work the busy summer season in North Myrtle Beach.
For many, it is their first time in America. First time far from home. They are nervous, excited, sometimes a little homesick. We are here to help.
What started in 2015 as a small family effort has grown into a trusted place for J1 students from all over the world. Eleven summers in, we have welcomed students from over thirty countries — and we are honored to do it again every year.

Priscilla moved to North Myrtle Beach with John almost fifteen years ago and has loved every minute of it. She is smart, witty, and warm. She answers calls and messages from students all day long because she truly cares about how each one is doing. She grew up partly in Mexico and speaks both Spanish and English, which has helped countless students over the years. She is raising her family here, and you will often find her helping students or out by the water with her kids.

John is the funny one, or so he thinks. He is guaranteed to make everyone laugh at the welcome parties. He loves North Myrtle Beach and having his whole family nearby. He spends a lot of his free time in the garden. He speaks English only, but that never gets in the way of meeting students from anywhere in the world. Every summer he loves planning the welcome parties and working to introduce as many students to each other as possible.
NMB Housing is a family-run business led by Priscilla and John, parents of Madi, Katie, Alex, Cami, Mateo, Paloma, and Belen. You will see the kids around and meet them throughout your stay.

Anyone can rent you a bed. We do more than that. We meet you when you arrive. We are around all summer. We know what makes a J1 summer successful, and we share everything we know with you. At the end of the season, you leave with stories, friendships, and a permanent invitation to come back any time.
Because we genuinely care about the people staying with us. You are not just a customer — you are someone who left home to come work here, and we want your summer to be one of the best of your life.
We accommodate as much as we can. If something is not working, if you need help with something, if you have a special request then reach out! We want to help you enjoy your stay.
We have lived in North Myrtle Beach for years and we know it well. Ask us anything — the best grocery stores, the most honest bike shops, the beach with the best sunset, the restaurants worth visiting. We love sharing this place with new people.
